We are pleased to invite you to participate in the public consultation for the draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) . The LTP is a statutory document, which sets out our vision, objectives, policies, and plans for improving local transport, along with our investment in transport and roads up to 2031.
The LTP covers the future management and maintenance of the local road network, bus and rail provision; walking and cycling infrastructure improvements, the efficient and safe movement of cars and freight, and supporting those that want to switch to low emission vehicles.
Your insight and feedback are vital in helping us refine and deliver a transport strategy that meets the needs of Staffordshire's residents and businesses, now and into the future.
This survey is designed to gather your views on several core elements of the draft Local Transport Plan, including:
- The Vision: Our long-term aspiration for “An integrated and efficient transport system that delivers economic prosperity, creates healthy and safe communities, and protects the natural environment."
- Strategic Objectives: The high-level goals that will guide decision-making and investment priorities.
- Delivery Principles: The principles that will underpin transport planning and delivery.
In addition, the survey will explore each chapter of the plan in more detail, covering:
- Theme Objectives: Specific aims within the key areas of public transport, the road network, active and inclusive communities, land use planning, digital connectivity and low emission vehicles.
- The Way Forward: Proposed actions and commitments to achieve our objectives.
- Long-term Vision: A forward-looking perspective on how transport will evolve to support economic growth and social wellbeing in the future.
- Key Performance Indicators: How we will understand what we have been able to achieve.
This survey should take no more 10 minutes to complete. The survey closes at 5:00 pm on
27th October 2025.
