EV Survey

Staffordshire County Council recognises the significant benefits of electric vehicles, particularly in relation to air quality, public health, and the reduction of carbon emissions. Though it is not the county council’s role or responsibility to install electric vehicle infrastructure, we do have a role to facilitate and coordinate the development of accessible public charging infrastructure in Staffordshire that supports the move away from petrol and diesel vehicles.

Whilst the majority of electric vehicle infrastructure will be delivered privately, through residents having their own infrastructure at home and by commercial organisations, Central Government funding will be utilised where available to enable a public electric vehicle infrastructure network.

This survey enables the opportunity to provide information as to your electric vehicle infrastructure needs helping us to ensure that public infrastructure is targeted to meet demand. This information alongside other data sets, will help to identify suitable charging locations and where we may decide to investigate the possibility of installing electric vehicle infrastructure as part of our Central Government funded Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure allocation.

All data collected on this page will be processed in line with our privacy notice. We will use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Enable us to plan Electric Vehicle Infrastructure projects, including but not limited to the Local Transport Plan and ensuring equality of those strategies to all of Staffordshire’s residents,
  • Secure funding for transport infrastructure, transport services, travel planning and behavioural change programmes, and
  • Construct traffic, transport and carbon models and support analytical transport planning.

We won’t share the raw data you provide in the survey with anyone, but we may publish an Electric Vehicle survey report which will include analysed and summarised data and be available for anyone to use
