St Thomas CofE Primary Academy School Street
We have been working with St Thomas CofE Primary Academy to develop their school travel plan to make it safer at drop-off and pick-up time and to encourage walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling for the school commute.
St Thomas CofE Primary Academy are well engaged with us and were interested in trialling and piloting a School Street.
What is a School Street?
A School Street limits the motorised traffic outside schools at drop-off and pick-up times, allowing safer and healthier spaces where children, parents/ guardians, school staff and residents can walk, wheel, cycle, scoot or park and stride with less risk of air pollution and traffic congestion.
St Thomas CofE Primary Academy School Street Trial
Date: Tuesday 30th September 2025
Time: 8:15-10:00am and 2:00-3:45pm
Please note these trial times are extended as we may deliver activities with the school and engage with you on the street. If the pilot is progressed the School Street times will be 30-60 minutes.
