What is the difference between Residential Care and Nursing Care?

Residential Care is long-term care given to adults or children who stay in a residential setting rather than in their own home or family home. It is provided in a care home and involves assisting residents with day-to-day needs such as washing, dressing, taking medication, and moving about. Residential care homes are specialised facilities that provide round-the-clock care and support for individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living.

Nursing Care is a facility that provides 24-hour support to residents, similar to a residential care home. However, nursing homes have registered nurses on site who can provide medical care. These homes are typically for residents who require regular nursing care or medical attention due to severe disabilities.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.
