We run monthly groups, we call Forums at different venues over Staffordshire.
We hold Children in Care Forums from 9-16 years and 16+ Care leavers forums.
Alongside this some of our children are involved in the Children In Care Council - The Voice Project and CICC work closely with the Corporate Parenting Panel to implement a new working plan to ensure the top topics for Staffordshire Cared for young people are discussed and actioned.
WHY BE INVOLVED?
You would have a meal at every Forum
You will have the opportunity to take part in activities and games
You would be a part of consulting on topics such as Delegated Authority, or Identity and Stigma as a Child in Care
You would be a part of interview panels for new members of the Local Authority
You could take part in training other teams around communicating with children
You will receive vouchers for your help if the work is commissioned
You will have reward days twice a year!
Below is a list of our Monthly Forums - If you would like to come along and try out one of the groups, please contact us at vp@staffordshire.gov.uk or call on 01785 253878
