Volunteers’ Week Is Here!

Volunteers’ Week is back this week (Mon 2 – Sun 8 June) and it’s time to celebrate all things volunteering!
This week we’ll be celebrating 41 years of Volunteers’ Week in the UK by honouring the incredible contributions of volunteers who make our communities stronger every day. Without these amazing volunteers, our communities would look very different.
Volunteers are generally quiet do-ers and not often forthcoming into the spotlight, so this week is the time to say a huge THANK YOU to them and recognise and celebrate all that they do. There’s lots of resources on the volunteers’ week website here www.volunteersweek.org to help you to celebrate and say thank you.
We’ll be thanking our volunteers across the county at all of the Locality Forums this month – find your local forum here June Locality Forums We’ve also been hard at work chatting to volunteers across the county about what they love about volunteering, and you’ll be able to read their interviews on our website and social media throughout this month.
Thank you to all those volunteers who agreed to be contacted, and a massive thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers going amazing things across the county!
Thank you for your contribution!
